Post 4 - Types of documentary

The purpose and relevance of this research is to help us choose which type of documentary we will choose. It is most likely that we will choose to do a mixed style of documentary as this involves most conventions and will therefore give us chance to be able to include them in our filming. This gives us chance to visually see and read what each type of documentary involves, making our decision easier as we can easily choose which one we prefer the most. We will also have to choose which type to use on the basis of our target audience, however we haven't got to that stage of planning yet, so there is a possibility that our decision could change once we have conducted our audience research - questionnaire, focus group.
