Message to expert 3

Having been unable to find a suitable time to interview expert 1: Hayley Hemming, we decided to message English teacher Jane McCard to ask if she would be an expert instead. Here is the message. Also, we asked Student Development Officer, Julie Maitland to be a final expert.

         The skills we have learnt...

  • We have learnt how to use a tripod quickly and efficiently
  • We are able to estimate the correct measures of where we want the tripod to set up for specific shots (e.g. correct heights)

Objectives (lesson 6)

Purpose of research into similar products part C

The purpose and relevance of researching into this documentary is to explore what kind of conventions a fly-on-the-wall documentary uses. This will help us take inspiration from these different styles and incorporate them into our mixed style. Educating Essex is about students and observes their time and life at school, therefore this was a significant and applicable program that could help us with the mise-en-scene of our own documentary, which is also based on students and college/school.

Progress Statement-Questionnaire and Focus Group

Wednesday, 1 October 2014

Summary and results of questionnaire.

These are the results from the questionnaires that we handed to one of our target audiences of students. These results proved to be very relevant as they helped us to decide the type/mode of documentary and gave us some statistics and background information to use in our documentary about our target audience and the genre.
